Voyager is an independent wealth management firm founded in 2003 by Jodi Brush (scroll down for bio) under the firm belief that investing in one’s retirement future is conscious choice to positively affect our own destinies. The daughter of a schoolteacher mother and forester father, Jodi saw a need for a financial advisor working-class Oregonians could come to for honest, unbiased investment advice and planning. In the search for a name to represent this thinking, family history came into play. Jodi’s grandfather was an engineer who built the Rutan Voyager, the plane that circumnavigated the Earth on a single tank of gas in 1986. The plane’s journey stands as the inspiration for both our name and our hope for clients, symbolizing both possibility, ingenuity, hard work and the freedom of travel. Respected for both a tireless care of clients’ wellbeing and a little bit of tough love, Voyager’s growth came quickly, largely by word-of-mouth recommendations.

Jodi’s husband, Keith Brush came aboard on 2010 as Risk Manager to help Jodi handle her rapidly growing client base. Financial Advisor Jeff Wells was added to the team in 2013. Their commitment to the working class continues to this day, believing every America should have access to comprehensive financial planning and advice.

Voyager’s three-part motto

Ever the believers in process and planning, the team’s success is built on Voyager’s three-part motto:

  1. Know that abundance comes from making powerful choices.

  2. Embark on your financial adventure with your destiny clearly marked.

  3. Recognize that every step of your adventure is a continuation of choices aimed at getting to your destination.

Jodi Brush, AIF®, RICP®

Retirement Specialist

Jodi began her career in financial services in 2003, choosing to be an independent advisor rather than working for a large brand-name company. She continues to believe this is the best way to provide unbiased, comprehensive advice to people in need of financial leadership. Her passion involves creating distribution plans to help families transition into retirement while maintaining the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed. Special areas of focus include income planning, Oregon PERS, and the Federal Retirement System. Jodi is also an amateur gardener and loves travelling the world with her husband Keith.

Keith joined the Voyager team in 2010 as a Risk Manager. After seeing the need for a client support specialist, he transitioned to that role and has been coordinating with Jodi and Jeff since. His primary focus includes ensuring the connections to our current and future clientele are handled with utmost care.  Outside of work hours, Keith is a performing musician playing bass with a number of local and regional groups. He also enjoys traveling the world with his wife, Jodi.

Proud supporters of the Mertie Stevens Scholarship

Voyager is honored to support the Mertie Stevens Scholarship, a merit-based monetary award given to local, college-bound young adults. Murial ‘Mertie’ Stevens was a 19th century Oregon City businesswoman, philanthropist and inspiration for many, including the Voyager team. Our connection to Ms. Stevens continues beyond our involvement in her namesake scholarship having recently purchased and renovated the Mertie Stevens Building, formerly a car barn owned by the Stevens family. Our hope is to establish the property as community small-business hub.
